Grid penalties:

Race penalties:
Renault's race suspension from Hungary was overturned on appeal and both cars start in Valencia.

Race notes:
Luca Badoer is standing in for the injured Felipe Massa (at home and recovering well from injuries sustained at Hungary) at Ferrari.
Romain Grosjean makes his Formula 1 debut for Renault, replacing Nelsinho Piquet.
Button started well but had to get off the throttle in the run-in to turn 1, losing a lot of ground as a result.
Early pitstops for Buemi, Glock and Grosjean to repair damage sustained on lap 1.
Fuel-rig problem for Vettel means he has to stop twice to take on fuel, destroying his chances in this race.
And Vettel's woes continue as he retires with apparent engine failure on lap 24.
Hamilton's tyres not ready for him when he stopped - that could have cost him the race, Barrichello only needed a few seconds at the stops.
And job done - Barrichello is in the lead following his pitstop.
Button finally manages to pass Webber during the final pitstops - if he holds position to race end, he'll extend his lead over both Red Bull drivers in the championship race.
Second retirement of the race is Buemi, suffering brake disc failure in his Toro Rosso.
