Notes:
Technical problems in first period of qualifying for Speed and Webber leave them at the back of the grid.
Sato suffers technical gremlins in the second period of qualifying, leaving him stranded track-side. He did set a time first however, and provided his problems don't require an engine change, will start 13th tomorrow, splitting the two factory Hondas of Barrichello and Button. Liuzzi takes no part in the second period, suffering the same transmission problems that side-lined Speed in the first period. Toro Rosso are however hopeful that they can revert to their previous transmission spec in time for tomorrow's race. No time in the second session either for Davidson, who went off track on his flying lap. |
